Recently, I was asked how to view adult Video on Demand on a Macintosh.  I'm a Windows user, so I had to do a little research.  This is what I came up with: DivX.  DivX is a both a player and file format that allows you to view DVD-quality Movies.  There are several thousand adult movies that can be viewed this way.  One of the providers I found that supports DivX, is Hotmovies.com.  I'm sure there are others.  Both PC and Mac users can use DivX to view movies online, so, if you're a Mac user, there's no reason to be left out in the cold when it comes to adult Video on Demand.

I stumbled upon a couple of very fun Video on Demand sites to visit today.  They both specialize in vintage porn.  When i say "vintage", I mean films ranging from the early 1900s, to the 8mm loops of the 1970s.  Some of the footage is very quaint, but that's what gives it its charm.  In some of the 1960s porn, the women still look pretty hot.   The names of the older films are hilarious.  In one 1970s 8mm loop entitled "Deviate Sex Thrills - Blindfolded BJ", a women is, *gasp*, blindfolded while she sucks a "mystery cock."  The nice thing about VOD is that you can skip around and take a trip down memory lane without spending a lot of time on any one movie.  You should check it out!

Welcome to the Adult VOD Blog.  VOD stands for Video on Demand.  I truly believe that VOD is the future of movies (both mainstream and adult).  In fact, both Netflilx and Walmart made announcements recently of their intention to enter the mainstream Video on Demand market. 

This blog is a compliment to the comprehensive adult VOD directory of sites we've created.   We've worked very hard to create a resource that lists every site on the Internet that has adult movies available on demand.  If you're not familar with Video on Demand, please take a minute to visit the What is VOD link.  In a nutshell, you can view full-length adult movies using Windows Media Player.  You don't have to purchase a membership of any kind, you just sign up for the site of your choice and then pay as you go.  It's usually around 8 cents per minute and you just buy a block of time.   I usually buy time in $10 blocks.   $10 goes a long way.  At 8 cents per minute, that's 125 minutes.  The cool thing is if you decide you don't like a specific movie ten minutes into it, you can just choose a different movie.  In a typical sitting, I'll usually watch 5 to 10 minutes of several movies, before finding one I like and settling in.

Another nice thing about Video on Demand is you don't have to drive to the video store or subscribe to a DVD mail-order service.  You just decide to watch a movie and a few minutes later, you are.  And unlike a video store, this is completely private.  There are no videos laying around for people to find.
